First Footprints #3 review!

The esteemed Geoff Arbuckle has given us our first Footprints #3 review, and it couldn't glow any brighter.

On story:

" . . . continues to keep me on the edge of my seat while still taking time to go back into the past to see what brought everyone together, what tore them apart, and the true beast that lies within Motheresa.  I’m surprised to see how much I could feel for the characters. . . .Ultimately, this series is very easy for readers to become invested in and you suddenly find yourself caring to the point of concern on a very real level that not all these characters will survive the story."

On art:

". . . there’s such a mood to it that’s almost thick enough to cut.  It so perfectly fits the noir story.  It’s like I threw a Humphrey Bogart movie into the DVD player.  It’s dark and there’s a real tangibility to it that makes you feel like you are viewing things in a very real world way."
What a guy. Thanks Geoff!

Issue #3 will be available very soon via 215 Ink's iPad app, and later through Graphic.ly and in print from the 215 Ink shop.

Don't forget! We NEED pre-orders to ensure that the Footprints trade paperback (collects issues 1-4) makes it into comic shops nationwide! Ask your retailer *by December 21* to order Footprints! It can be found on page 321 in Previews, with order code DEC111226.

Thanks everyone!

Sketches...

...for a project that's been waiting for me a while. Got to knock this one out. I'm sure I don't have to explain who these characters are for most people.

Post BCC Sale!

Hey guys,

First, welcome to all my new watchers! Glad to have you aboard :)

Second, BCC drained us financially. So I'm offering a sketch sale. I will do Black/White sketches like you see in my gallery (either inkwash or copic grays, your choice) for $30, shipping's on me. If you're interested in color, just ask.

If anyone's interested in a print of Peach, Mario, or the color 2001, I can throw one of those in with a sketch for another $10.

Just let me know-- newhollanddays@gmail.com

Thanks! My family thanks you.

LAST MINUTE BCC DISCOUNT

Guys, we're struggling to make it to BCC tomorrow financially (had car trouble yesterday), so if anyone will be there and would like to have a sketch to pick-up at a discount, I'm doing some tonight for $20. Pick-up ONLY. (If you pay for one and don't pick it up, shipping's up to you afterward).

Here's one I did tonight--again, for $20. 11x14, gray copics.

Regarding the Star Wars vs. Marvel art...

I really appreciate all the kind words and compliments, and definitely all the reblogs and retweets out there. I've been asked about prints a good bit, and unfortunately I'm not a LucasFilm artist (or Marvel for that matter) and that would be a big no-no. One of these days I hope to be able to do some licensed work, but until that day, we just get to look at them on the web. :)

But hey, keep spreading them around, reblogging, retweeting, everything (just mention where it came from)! Maybe the powers-that-be will see something they like :)

thanks everyone!
